Counted in full. A plain number such as 60,505 was counted over the whole stock.

Sample or excerpt. A number in smaller, paler type with ≈, such as ≈59, was counted in only part of the data: a sample the source hands over, or the window or box you are looking at. It is a floor for that part and says little about the whole, and two such numbers drawn from different samples are not comparable.

Capped. A number with ≥, such as ≥500, was cut off at a ceiling. The true figure can be higher.

Scale 0 to 1. Scores and strengths run from 0 (nothing reported or no tie) to 1 (the most the scale can show). A value is a position on that scale, never a percentage of anything and never a casualty count or a forecast.
